Giving Back to Our Community in Vancouver
Over our long history in British Columbia, Paine Edmonds has strived to give back to our community which we proudly serve. If you would like more information about our community involvement and the charities we support, please read below.
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is a free-standing children’s hospice that provides innovative, holistic, and clinical care to newborns, children, youth, and their families with progressive life-threatening conditions. Founded in 1995, we strive to improve pediatric palliative care regionally, nationally, and internationally. A portion of the funds raised by the team at Paine Edmonds’ annual Christmas raffle are donated to Canuck Place. Paine Edmonds also donates event tickets to Canuck Place volunteers in appreciation of their tireless work and support.
A non-profit organization, the GVFBS empowers people through offering healthy food, education, and training. They provide assistance to over 28,000 people through 14 food locations weekly. There are over 100 community agencies in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and North Vancouver. A portion of the funds raised by the team at Paine Edmonds’ annual Christmas raffle are donated to GVFBS.
The Spinal Cord Injury BC is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with spinal cord injuries and related disabilities. They are a source of information on how to live well with spinal cord injuries or a related disability in British Columbia. They have resources and programs for individuals and families. In addition to donations, the team at Paine Edmonds supports Spinal Cord Injury BC by participating in its annual fundraising and awareness activities such as Ugly Tie Day.
The BC Children’s Hospital™ Foundation raises money for the BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, and the Child & Family Research Institute. They orchestrate a wide range of fundraising events and opportunities for donors to participate. Their overall goal is to improve the health and lives of young people who receive care from BC Children’s Hospital. A portion of the funds raised by the team at Paine Edmonds’ annual Christmas raffle are donated to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. The team at Paine Edmonds has also participated in the annual Child Run which raises funds and awareness to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The Kids Up Front Foundation is committed to supporting children and their families living with a chronic or terminal illness; financial difficulty; emotional, mental, or physical disability; immigrant or minority status, youth in crisis; and other circumstances. They provide both educational and recreational opportunities for children, distributing unused tickets or creating special events. Paine Edmonds supports Kids Up Front Vancouver by regularly donating event tickets for underprivileged children to attend various sporting events.
